Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) Services

EBT is a type of Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) that allows a recipient to authorize the transfer of public entitlement payments, such as welfare or food stamps, through direct deposit or point-of-sale (POS) technology. The recipient uses an identification card (similar to a benefit card or debit card) and a PIN to gain access to the benefits through an electronic network.
