PAYtran, LLC, an Arizona company, is a sales and marketing organization with extensive expertise in the electronic funds transfer industry. We provide consumer based payment-processing solutions for a broad variety of industry market segments to include retail, restaurant, travel and entertainment, mail order/telephone order, Internet and selected market segments to include Philanthropy and Federal and State Welfare Benefits (EBT). Our solutions include retail, virtual and Web-based environments. Our expertise also includes card-based applications such as stored value cards, prepaid products, payroll cards and payroll card products.

John is a pioneer in the electronic transaction industry, having over 20 years of experience as a successful entrepreneur in the credit card processing field.

John started PAYtran in 1996, and prior to its expansion in 2003, he held several senior officer positions and was a member of the Board of Directors with CardSystems Solutions, Inc. He served as founder and chairman of Maverick International Processing Services, an industry leading credit card processing company and saw the company through its merger with CardSystems in 1999.

John started Maverick in 1996 from the reacquisition of the MagCard systems which he had previously sold to FirstUSA/Paymentech in 1993. John, a CPA, co-founded Timesharing Consultants Inc. and Magnum Computer Corporation – two companies specializing in computer services for financial reporting and high-level engineering problems.

John is also a Co-Founder and former Board Member of the Electronic Transactions Association, formerly known as the Bankcard Service Association. The association has emerged as the acquiring industry's premier trade group. He has been active in the development of this association and held several positions as a former member of its Board of Directors during the years of explosive growth.
